The future lies in your hand
The future lies in your hand
In good old days there lived a sage with long hair and white beard. He lived in a cage. He could see the unseen and tell you about the past. Present and future. Once two young men decided that they would prove the wise old man wrong. They were quite confident that their trick would click and the old man would eat humble pie. They approached the wise man with great excitement. “What’s the matter?” The sage asked when he saw the two young men. “What has brought you here?” He candidly asked. Polity one of the young men said “kindly tell us what we are holding in our hands.” The old man thought for a moment and said. “a bird.” The next question. As planned. Was. “What kind of bird it is?” Again the old man thought for a while and answered.” A parrot.” The two young men looked at each other and asked “is it dead or alive?” The old man took a long breath and finally replied. “As you will have it. “
Like the two young men who held the parrot in their hands you hold your destiny. Your future in your hand. It may be dead or alive. Entirely depends upon the person whom you see everyday in the mirror that is you.
It is time you make an assessment of your potentialities. Now is the time to know who you are. Where you want go and how you would reach there. Remember time is short. A time bomb is in your possession. It is titicking away moment by moment bringing you closer and closer to the day when either success or failure will be written against your name’s the time bomb is your life span. How you utilise your time will determine either success or failure.
Open your mind. Start thinking and stretch your imagination to what you want of life. In the next chapter we will examine the role of imagination in the achievement of success.
