Bolly Queens

Ria Sen


Riya Sen is the grand daughter of Suchitra Sen, a legend in Bengali cinema, and daughter of Moonmoon Sen, a former actress. Before moving to Mumbai, she lived with her mother and sister Raima Sen, also an actress, in Kolkata. Her father Bharat Dev Varma belongs to the illustrious royal family of Tripura. Her paternal grandmother Ila Devi, was the princess of Cooch Behar, whose younger sister Gayatri Devi is the Maharani of Jaipur.[2]
Before entering show business, she studied at Loreto House and Rani Birla College, both in Kolkata, but dropped out of both institutions.[2] She also briefly studied at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. Since her Bollywood debut, she has moved from Kolkata to Juhu in Mumbai.
While in Mumbai she had a relationship with male model and actor
John Abraham.[3] After the two broke up, she started a relationship with actor Ashmit Patel.[4] She also briefly dated actor Akshaye Khanna.[citation needed]
Many have commented on the strong resemblence between her and her mother, Moonmoon Sen, a sex symbol in her time.
[5] Both have worked in films in different languages, and both were involved in numerous controversies. However, her sister Raima has a very different image from them both.[6]

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor comes from an old and influential film family. Her grandfather was Raj Kapoor; her great grandfather was Prithviraj Kapoor. She is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita, who had divorced when she was still young. Rishi Kapoor is one of her uncles. Her sister, Karisma Kapoor, is also an actress. Other living relatives include maternal aunt Sadhana, and cousins Shivani Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Nikhil Nanda.

Isha Koppikar

Ishaa Koppikar was born in Mumbai, India on 19 September 1976. She went to Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai and studied Life Sciences. While in college, she did a model shoot for Gautam Rajadhyaksha. She took part in the 1995 Miss India Contest, won the Miss Talent Crown and modelled for L'Oreal, Rexona, Camay, Tips & Toes and Coca-Cola, among others.

Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia was raised in Mumbai. She has said in interviews that she grew up speaking English at home and had to learn Hindi for her film roles. [1]According to Ayesha, she has been a photographic model since she was four years old. She appeared in a music video, Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye, when she was only fifteen. One video in which she appeared, Shake It Daddy, brought her to the attention of the movie industry, and a few film offers followed. [2]
She signed a contract for Socha Na Tha, then for Taarzan: The Wonder Car. However, delays in making Socha Na Tha meant that Taarzan released first and was therefore her "debut" film.
She won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance in Taarzan.
She has appeared in a number of films that have done poorly at the box office. However, she has been highly praised for her work in the 2006 Dor, an art film. [3], [4]

Sushmita Sen

Sushmita's father Shubeer Sen is a retired Indian Air Force officer; her mother Subhra Sen worked as a fashion artist and jewellery designer. She has one brother, Rajeev Sen, and a sister, Neelam Sen.
Sushmita's mother tongue is Bengali. She was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, but grew up in Delhi. She attended school at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in Delhi. In Delhi, she studied English and planned a career in journalism.
In 2000, she adopted a daughter, Renee, as a single mother.
